Designed by I-d Interior Architects, the lounge at Gjensidige Insurance HQ is a luxurious yet relaxed corporate space with a sophisticated sensibility.
Greenery, urban references, and a refined style of the world’s best hotels was the inspiration for the design identity and its ambience.
The rug designs embrace a revival of Mid-Century style with a sophisticated selection of colors and geometrical elements. A sumptuous palette of deep blues, mineral greens, and deep velvets in one rug are harmonized by mustard yellows, terracotta, and peach on the other rug.
Colours & Textures
The patterns flow onto each other across the surfaces of the two rugs, embracing the whole furnishing in one whole aesthetical experience. The rugs compliment a carefully selected array of materials and shapes, that provide an invigorating and subtle atmosphere throughout different sones in the lounge.
The rugs are designed in collaboration with I-d Partners Silje Braende and Iselin Riise Lunde, the same architects Volver collaborated with on the design of the rugs for Deichman Bjørvika Library.
The rugs are hand tufted in high density in New Zealand wool and are certified Green Label Pluss+.
